this is a difficult one, because so many variables enter in. all of the high$$ names are pretty much unbreakable, and if you bust it they will give you a new one. however if you break it on wednesday and your guy does not come around 'till monday and you need it friday or whatever..... that brings us back to craftsman, sears/kmart - or kobalt/stanley which is lowe's and w-mart and then pittsburg from the freight store. a lot of their stuff is good and it is affordable. i own peices from each of the above except i think center point and matco. i have also had very good luck with the "masterhand" brand which is available at tractor supply. tools seem to be good quality and prices are fair. imfo.

Well thanks for the post but we need a winner, so if you can make a streach please pick one. You do have a good point.

well, for overall quality winner, i'm thinking it's gonna pretty much be Snap-On. but for best buy for the money it's real hard to argue with Craftsman IMHO...

Craftsman Is a good brand, but there hard on returns. You know the walk in and sorry that was not used in the right manner. Crap like that. They do hold up very well. I got the 150 pice set and its still all most all together. I busted a sockit and an extenson. so not bad for a year.

yea, i've heard of people having problems with returns...i think it has to do with the Sears you go to more than anything...some are pricks, some are cool

I think that may be it, Ill try a new sears and maybe Ill get my sockit replaced. Its just so much easyer to go out to the tool trucks that stop at the shops.
